The APPRAIS project committee at the University of Zakho opened a training course for several teachers, heads, and coordinators of departments. It started on April 17, 2023, and is scheduled to end on May 14, 2023. A variety of seminars are delivered twice a week on the Bologna Process, Quality Assurance, Plan, Strategy, and Internationality of the university.

Throughout the first course, two seminars were delivered. The opening seminar was given by Dr. Dler A. Jameel, Director of Quality Assurance, concerning the APPRAISE project in general. The second seminar was delivered by Dr. Karwan F. Sami, Vice President for Students Affairs, in which he presented the instructions of the Bologna Process. At the end of the initial course, a discussion session emerged to develop the project affairs.

The course is aimed to metastasize the obtained particulars regarding the Bologna Process by delivering the information to the academic staff of the University of Zakho. Thus, it unequivocally develops the level of education and Bologna Process at the University of Zakho.

Noteworthy, eight (8) universities of the Kurdistan Region, the Ministry of Higher Education, and several European Universities participate in the project. Moreover, the significant meetings of the project are conducted in the Kurdistan Region and European Countries. The project focuses on certain matters including the development of the Bologna Process, Quality Assurance, and the universities of the Kurdistan Region.
